11th Session of the Department Research Circle

The Department of Marketing Management, Faculty of Management successfully conducted the 11th Session of the Department Research Circle on June 09, 2026 at the SMART Room, of the Faculty of Management. The session was organized as part of the department’s ongoing commitment to fostering a vibrant research culture among academic members of the faculty.
The session featured by Dr. Nuresh Eranda, Senior Lecturer Grade I, Department of Marketing Management, who delivered a thought-provoking presentation on the topic of “Heritage-Based Experiential Marketing: Process Behind Experiential Value Creation.”
During the presentation, Dr. Eranda explored how heritage resources can be transformed into meaningful and memorable customer experiences through experiential marketing strategies. The discussion highlighted the process through which heritage-based experiences create value for consumers by fostering emotional engagement, authenticity, cultural connection and lasting memories. The session also emphasized the growing importance of experiential marketing in enhancing destination attractiveness, preserving cultural heritage and strengthening brand value in tourism and related industries.
The presentation was followed by an interactive discussion where participants shared their insights related to heritage marketing and experiential value creation. The engaging exchange of ideas contributed to a deeper understanding of the topic and encouraged further academic inquiry in this emerging area of marketing.
