Department of Human Resource Management was formed in 2015 with the establishment of the Faculty of Management. Our department envisions of being the national leader in Human Resource Management education at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. With our recognition of human resources as an inimitable strategic asset to gain sustainable competitive advantage of any organization, the Department has incorporated a diverse range of modules including contemporary and emerging concepts in HRM. The Department strives to make a significant contribution to the theory and practice of Human Resource Management via teaching, research and dissemination of knowledge. The department aims to produce graduates with leadership skills who are capable of efficient and effective management of human capital by applying their theoretical underpinning gained through taught modules and the practical exposure gained by undergoing internship.
The Department of Human Resource Management, Faculty of Management organized a workshop on CV Writing and Facing Interviews for BBA Final Year Undergraduates who are following HRM 401: Personality and Skills Development. The Department of Human Resource Management, Faculty of Management organized a three days workshop on Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) for BBA Third Year Undergraduates who are specialized in Human Resource Management from 6th December to 8th December, 2018 at the Faculty IT lab. The aim of this workshop was to provide theoretical and practical exposure in the area of Human Resource Information System. MAS Seasonal Internship programme is a collaborative effort between Department of Human Resource Management, Faculty of Management, University of Peradeniya and MAS Linea Intimates, Pallekele. MAS Seasonal Internship Programme is a form of an on-site learning experience that integrates classroom learning, theories, and experiences in to professional setting.
