Professor Athula Ekanayake, from the Department of Business Finance , Faculty of Management, in collaboration with his esteemed team consisting of Prof. P.P.A. Wasantha Athukorala, Prof. R.D. Yap, Prof. T.W.M.T.W. Bandara, and Prof. K.M.R. Karunarathna, has been awarded a 2.5 million LKR University Research Council (URC) Multidisciplinary Grant. This grant, identified as Grant No. 393, supports their project titled "Financial Sustainability, Survival Ability, and Survival Strategies of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the Face of Economic Crisis: A Study of MSMEs in Central Province, Sri Lanka." As the principal investigator, Professor Ekanayake leads this crucial research aimed at exploring the resilience and strategic adaptation of MSMEs within the challenging economic landscape of Sri Lanka's Central Province.
