Leadership Forum 2022 under the theme of ‘Facing the Future Together’ was successfully
organized by the 3000 Level undergraduates of the Faculty of Management in collaboration with
the Department of Human Resource Management on the 20 th of December 2022 from 9.30 a.m.
onwards at the Faculty Auditorium.
The main objective of organizing this forum was to equip the undergraduates with the knowledge,
abilities, and attitudes as they pursue leadership positions in the future. The forum was graced by
esteemed personalities from the fields of business, entrepreneurship, and sports who have displayed
leadership skills to the highest calibre in their respective fields. The distinguished panel consisted of
Dr. Dilesha Perera – Co-Founder/ Chairperson of the clothing brand La Vivente (Pvt) Ltd and
Dilchand (Pvt) Ltd, Dr. Hansani Weeratunge – Silver medallist in swimming at the South Asian
Games in 2006 and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at CSIRO (Commonwealth Scientific and
Industrial Research Organisation) and Mr. Thilina Hewage – Regional Manager-Central at
National Development Bank PLC, while the forum was moderated by Dr. S. Maheswaran – Senior
Lecturer, Department of Operations Management, Faculty of Management, University of
Peradeniya.
