Psychology Day 2022

The Department of Human Resource Management, Faculty of Management successfully
conducted Psychology Day for the fourth consecutive time on 15 th  December 2022. This is an
annual event organized by the third-year HRM undergraduates as a part of the Industrial
Psychology course offered by the department. Psychology Day is based on a significant and
timely theme every year, and this year’s programme was lined up with the overarching theme of
‘Enriching the Quality of Life through Healthy Relationships’. This programme created a great
opportunity for students to demonstrate their organizing skills together with the team working,
leadership and creative capabilities. The following 06 segments were successfully conducted
with the support of experts in the field and the participation of students, academic staff
members and non-academic staff members of the faculty.

1. Workshop on Secrets to Healthy Relationships by Dr. Kanthi Hettigoda, Clinical Psychologist, Senior Lecturer, Department of Psychology, Faculty of Arts, University of Peradeniya


2. Ergonomics Training by Mr. A.M.M. Rikas, Physiotherapist, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, University of Peradeniya

4. Art Therapy by Mr. Asanga Mallikarachchi, Psychiatric Social Worker, Kandy General Hospital


5. Music Therapy by Mr. Sachinthana Dasun, Career Counsellor, University of Peradeniya
