The English Language Teaching Unit at the Faculty was established in 2015 and it offers English courses to students of varying competencies. This course series is titled, English Language for Management (ELM) and it is a compulsory component of the degree program.
The English Language program conducted by the ELTU of the Faculty is pedagogically and epistemologically molded in line with good practices pertaining to English Language Teaching. Speak to Lead, the debate competition organized by the ELTU of the Faculty of Management held its second consecutive event as Speak to Lead’19 on 17th of December 2019 at the Faculty Auditorium.The teams for the event were selected through a competitive initial round held at class level. On the day of the event, four teams named The Trailblazers, Voice of Victory, The Talking Heads and The Idealists competed with each other in the semi-final round.
Speak to Lead '18, the series of debates organized by the ELTU of the Faculty of Management was successfully held on 9th November 2018 at the Faculty Auditorium. The speakers for the day were selected from the initial rounds of this series which were held at class level and the final and semi-final rounds held on the day of the event. Mr. N. Agilan (Senior Lecturer, Department of Human Resource Management) was the Chief Guest of the event whereas Ms. Muditha Dharmasiri (Lecturer, Department of Classical Languages) graced the occasion as a Guest Judge for the event.More 2018-12-19
