The Faculty Internship Committee and the Centre for Skills for Life collaboratively organized “Industry Day 2023”, which was held on September 12, 2023, on the theme of “Stepping Across the Line: The First Step Towards the Space ‘Industry”. The main goal of Industry Day 2023 was to offer students an opportunity to obtain internships at renowned organizations in Sri Lanka.
The occasion was graced by Prof. Ravi Kuruppuge, the Dean of the Faculty of Management, along with other academic and non-academic staff members. The CEO of Dankotuwa Porcelain PLC, Mr. Channa Gunawardana, was invited to speak at the inaugural session as the guest speaker and gave a thought-provoking address about how to bridge the gap between industry and academia by adopting a dynamic and upbeat mindset.

There were 418 interviews done throughout the span of the day. Third-year students served as panel coordinators to assist with the interview sessions running more efficiently.
