The Faculty Internship Committee, in collaboration with the Centre for Skills for Life, successfully hosted "Industry Day 2024" on September 10, 2024. The event, themed “Stepping Across the Line: The First Step Towards the Space Industry,” aimed to provide students with valuable internship opportunities at prestigious organizations across Sri Lanka while nurturing their interview-facing skills.
The event was honored by the presence of Prof. Ravi Kuruppuge, Dean of the Faculty of Management, alongside distinguished academic and non-academic staff members. Mr. Kushan Chanaka Amarasinghe, the Chief Executive Officer of Finagle Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, served as the Guest Speaker for the inaugural session, delivering an inspiring address on bridging the gap between academia and industry through a dynamic and forward-thinking approach.

The event facilitated 387 interviews, providing nearly 82 final-year students the chance to showcase their skills. Third-year students played an integral role in ensuring the smooth execution of the interviews, serving as students-in-charge.
