The maiden international conference of the Faculty of Management, named Peradeniya University International Management Research Sessions
(iPUMSE 2019) was successfully held on November 14, 2019 at the Faculty of Management, University of Peradeniya under the theme of Sustainability and Competitive Advantage

Professor Upul B. Dissanayake, Vice Chancellor, graced this occasion as the Chief Guest. The welcome address was delivered by Dr. B.A.N. Eranda, Chairperson, iPUMSE 2019. Dr. M. Alfred, Dean of the Faculty of Management addressed the gathering. The keynote address was delivered by Professor Alistair R. Anderson, Lancaster University, the United Kingdom. Deputy Vice Chancellor, Deans of the other Faculties of the University of Peradeniya, Directors of the Postgraduate Institutes of the University of Peradeniya, Academic staff members, Research students, Researchers from other universities, and Industry Experts also participated in the conference. A Business Forum was also conducted as part of the conference with the participation of Academics, Researchers and Industry Professionals.
