The Department of Operations Management, Faculty of Management, University of Peradeniya
organized a field visit to MAS Intimates - Thurulie, MAS Fabric Park, Thulhiriya on the 26 th of
October 2022 for the 2000 level BBA honours undergraduates specialized in Operations
Management.
The purpose of this field visit was to provide the students with practical exposure to the
manufacturing industry. The field visit also enabled students to identify the specific nature of the
manufacturing industry and also to identify the functions of the operational process of an apparel
manufacturing plant.
