The Department of Operations Management, Faculty of Management, successfully organized a field visit to MAS SleekLine – MAS Active, Nittambuwa, on August 6, 2025, for second-year undergraduates specializing in Operations Management. The visit was an integral part of the OPM 2102, Supply Chain Management course, providing students with first-hand exposure to industry operations to strengthen their practical understanding of supply chain concepts.
The visit provided students with valuable insights into apparel manufacturing operations, supply chain coordination, material handling, and lean manufacturing applications within the garment industry. Students were able to observe end-to-end workflows from raw material receipt to finished goods dispatch, while also learning about sustainability initiatives and technology-driven process improvements implemented at MAS SleekLine.
