The industry exposure programme of the Centre for Skills for Life, Faculty of Management, University of Peradeniya successfully organized a company visit for the 1000-level undergraduates to MAS Casualline, Mawathagama on 11thMarch 2024.
A seminar was organized by the Management Education Unit of the Faculty of Management, University of Peradeniya, for the G.C.E. (Advanced Level) students of Athugalpura Prince College, Kurunegala, on the 07th of March 2024 at the Faculty Auditorium.
The Industry Exposure Programme of the Centre for Skills for Life, Faculty of Management, University of Peradeniya successfully organized a company visit for the 1000-level undergraduates to JAT Holdings PLC, Kahathuduwa Plant and Thalawathugoda, Head Office on the 27 th of February 2024.
Dr. A.J.M.S. Jayasundara, Deputy General Manager (Collection and Employer Relations),
Employees' Trust Fund Board, Mehewara Piyasa, Narahenpita, graced the occasion as the
distinguished speaker.
Department of Management Studies, Faculty of Management, University of Peradeniya, formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SquareHub (Pvt) Ltd at the Senate room of the University of Peradeniya on January 19, 2024.
Dr. Vasily Fivesky, the Rector of the Moscow Metropolitan Governance University, Government of Moscow, visited the University of Peradeniya on December 02, 2022. The rector was welcomed by Prof. M.D. Lamawansa, Vice-Chancellor, University of Peradeniya. The vice-chairman of the University Grant Commission, the Deans of the Faculties, the Director of the International Relations Office, and the heads of the departments participated in the event.
The Management Education Unit, Faculty of Management, University of Peradeniya, organized a seminar for GCE (Advanced Level) students and teachers from the Giriulla Education Zone. This event took place on November 8th, 2023, in the Faculty Auditorium. Mr. Uwin Ariyarathna, the Chairman of the Management Education Unit, led the session.
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Unilever Sri Lanka and the University of Peradeniya on September 25, 2023. The ceremony was held in the senate room of the University of Peradeniya. Mr. Damith Abeyrathne, Supply Chain Director, Unilever Sri Lanka signed the MoU representing Unilever while Professor M.D. Lamawansa, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Peradeniya and the Acting Registrar Mr. E.M.G.M.B Ekanayake signed on behalf of the university.
The Faculty Internship Committee and the Centre for Skills for Life collaboratively organized “Industry Day 2023”, which was held on September 12, 2023, on the theme of “Stepping Across the Line: The First Step Towards the Space ‘Industry”. The main goal of Industry Day 2023 was to offer students an opportunity to obtain internships at renowned organizations in Sri Lanka.
