The fifth session of the Faculty Working Paper Series was held on December 08, 2020 at the Faculty Auditorium. The presentation was made by Ms. H.M.R.D. Kularathne from the Department of Human Resource Management on the title, “Stress By Corona: A Review of Human Resource Implications”. The paper was moderated by Dr. W.P.R. Wickramaratne from the Department of Human Resource Management. The event was graced by the Dean of the Faculty, Heads of the Departments and the academic staff members. This study is carried out to identify stressors owing to Coronavirus decease 2019 that is the latest precarious catastrophe in which all human beings are suffering physiologically and psychologically. A comprehensive literature review is used as the method and the study identifies six stressors: financial loss & job insecurity, risk of infection, the unknown, work-related pressure, quarantine & isolation and social stigma. Further, study suggests ten human resource implications to manage the stress by Coronavirus.
