LEAN MANUFACTURING-2019
A successful exhibition on the theme of Lean Manufacturing
was conducted by the fourth year students who are following the Lean Manufacturing course (OPM 401) offered by the Department of Operations Management on the 30th of August 2019 from 11.00 a.m. onwards. This was carried out as a partial fulfilment of the continuous assessment of the particular course.
Each stall of the exhibition was presented by separate groups with their relevant sub themes namely, Evolution of Lean, Seven Waste and Productivity, Lean Tools and Performance Enhancement, Culture of Lean and Implementation of lean in the faculty.
The exhibition was inaugurated by the Dean, Faculty of Management -Dr. M. Alfred, in the presence of heads of the all five departments. This was open to everybody in the faculty -the students, the academic and non-academic staffs throughout the day.
Creativity, motivation and enthusiasm combined with excellent team work of the students led to the enhancement of knowledge of the participants in a wider manner.
