The sixth session of the Faculty Working Paper Series was held on February 02, 2021 at the Faculty Auditorium. The presentation was made by Mr. T.S.S. Fernando from the Department of Management Studies on the title, Impact of Dynamic Capabilities on Competitive Advantage with the Moderating Effect of Organizational Culture in ICT industry in Sri Lanka
. The event was graced by the Dean of the Faculty, Heads of the Departments and the academic staff members. The brief abstract of the paper is given as follows.
This study investigates the impact of dynamic capabilities on competitive advantage considering three categories of dynamic capabilities namely, adaptive capability, absorptive capability and innovative capability with the moderating effect of organizational culture. The study results show that dynamic capabilities have a positive impact on competitive advantage. Moreover, the results of the study revealed that each category of dynamic capabilities has significant positive impact on competitive advantage. Among them, innovative capability has the most impact on competitive advantage, followed by adaptive capability and absorptive capability respectively. Most importantly, the results showed that both adhocracy culture and market culture have moderating effects on dynamic capabilities and competitive advantage.
